"Talking on the phone is hard work," Max said, collapsing into a chair after a mere five minutes on the line with his grandma. I looked at him funny so he went on, "Well, you have to hold your arm up like this," put his hand up to his ear, "AND you have to HOLD the phone . . . well, it's heavy!!!"
Trey, looking at a picture of an Old Testament character in his Bible Story book who was drawn in front of a swirling red and yellow background, "Look at the dimension that guy is in, mom!"
We read the story of God calling Samuel in the tabernacle the other day. A few minutes later, Trey asked if we could read it again. "About Samuel?" I asked. "Yes, " he said "in the tacklebox."
Gunnar was minding his own business, sitting 6 feet off the deck on Odysea's boom, when Max did a great sneak attack in the bosun's chair (see 12/18 post) and knocked him off. Oops! Dave, Gunnar and I stopped at the pharmacy on the way home from the ER where he was diagnosed with having a broken arm. While we waited for his prescription, Gunnar said he was going to buy a toy for Trey and Max. "Why?" I asked. "I want Max to know that I forgive him for breaking my arm. It was just an accident," was his amazing reply. When we got home and he gave his brothers the toys, Max said in a bewildered voice, "I broke your arm and I get a . . . . toy?"

It is "Amazing" (mr) "Fosters" managed to miss his 30th reunion. ...and we missed him. It took me a while to track him. The ocean breeze and sun appear to treat him and the family well. I hope to hear from you and maybe see you if/when you're in Kansas. If interested; you might recognize me in the Power Engineering Society on www.ieee-kc.org/section-data/officers. ps. reunion pictures available to view with an email request.
