Foster Funnies

Christopher, age 5

On a recent trip to Walmart, Gunnar was shopping in the garden center with Chris. Chris wondered why they weren't looking at toys so Gunnar patiently explained, "I have a passion for plants." Chris promptly replied, "Well I have a passion for TOYS!"

At the end of season celebration for Upward basketball and cheerleading, the cheerleaders appeared to be concentrating very hard on getting their two "cheers" just so. Afterward, basketball player Trey commented, "The 'Spirit Girls' seemed kind of gloomy to me."

Occasionally I stay up late watching movies with my wonderful teenagers. A few weeks ago Trey got out of bed for a drink of water and caught us in the act. He said longingly, "I wish I could stay up watching movies and eating cookie dough" . . . so I let him. Max (13) took me aside and said with concern, "Mom, isn't that like the US policy with the Cubans? I mean, he's not supposed to get out of bed, but when he does you reward him!?!"
