and Bev, who was his first caregiver
Beth & Bev,
Trey and I played that funny “pass the pigs” game with Chris for the first time tonight. Oh boy! Did he like that. I was very thankful we live in a small space as he didn’t have any interest in throwing the pigs on the table – just in throwing them with all his might then laughing hysterically. Trey was very intent on the game so carefully found them each time wherever they happened to fall and called out “razor back” or “trotter” or whatever their position.
It made me smile to think of us all sitting at your table and playing, Beth, when Chris was too small to participate. How wonderful to have you both woven into the fabric of our lives through the gift of Chris.
On a separate note, his English seems to have taken a big leap this week. I like to think it is because my mom and sister sent him Richard Scarry’s Best Word Book Ever and he loves it . . . but, whatever the cause, he is starting to make more and more sense to us all the time.
For some reason he started saying, “Good night, Bobo” to the boys from his bed last night – had them all giggling with delight over his happy little voice. Gunnar was so inspired he made a book by the same name today and Chris has been asking to have it read to him over and over. I imagine the big brothers have a lot to do with his vocabulary.
