Berry Funny

We have a guest funny . . . although we were actually the guests when this happened:)

Our lovely friends, Greg & Rachel and their children Jasper and Delilah, hosted Gunnar and I for dinner on our recent trip to Boulder. After dinner, Rachel placed eight delicious brownies on a plate for our dessert then called all six of us back to the dinner table (I knew they were delicious in advance because she kept passing me crumbs as she cut them).

Delilah, age three, polished her brownie off in no time and then politely asked for another. Her mother declined stating that there was just one per person.

Delilah eyed the brownie plate and asked, "Why are there two left then?"

Without pause Rachel explained, "Those were in case someone didn't like the appearance of theirs."

Delilah promptly said, "I didn't like the appearance of my brownie."
