A recent discussion of allowances between Dave and Trey took a rabbit trail to a discussion of the provisions in our will should we both die (I know, a bit morbid for a 7 year old, but he was arguing his allowance was a right 'cuz he would need it to buy food if we died).
Upon learning that he would not be out on the streets should such an event happen, Trey said to Dave: "That was great thinking on your part, Dad, to have an alternative plan."

After discussing Proverbs over dinner, Gunnar and I had occasion to engage in a brief conversation regarding viewing options online. Before I went to sleep, I text him this message:
