Trey was very quiet in the back seat of the car as we left Paula's birthday party with the party favor her mother had handed them as they left. After quite awhile he said, "There! I finally 'de-pink-ified' it!"

Gunnar, who hadn't done his homework, was listening to Max and I discuss their mutual reading assignment without much interest until Max said, "It was kind of weird she slept with the dead body."
Gunnar promptly held out his hand and said, "Could I see that book?"

Gunnar and Dave were giving him lots of grief for some infraction and, as he went to correct the situation, Max was heard to mutter, "I forgive you, Max."
