Trey, 11, just bought the hunting rifle he has been longing for and is now lobbying for a cell phone. All the time. But Gunnar and Max didn't get their phones until they were 12 . . .
In the car this morning, Max reasoned with him that it was about maturity and the ability to handle the responsibility of a cell phone. When there was a pause in the discussion Chris asked innocently, "Doesn't Trey own a gun?"
