Teenager

Dave dropped Trey off for his first overnight getaway with the middle school youth group on Friday night. He later reported that Trey wouldn't hug him good-bye in front of his friends and we were surprised by his transition to teenager at . . . 11!?!

Picked up my exhausted, but happy, boy at 12:30 a.m. this morning. Later Dave called him out on the no hug routine and Trey responded promptly, "I just didn't want to look short."

They have compromised on sitting hugs in public until Trey is taller than his dad.
